The course will be delivered entirely in Italian and is aimed specifically at
teachers wishing to improve their language skills.
The course is not suitable for complete beginners and it is expected that
attendees will prepare for the course by revisiting their current
knowledge of Italian to ensure they can communicate at at least a basic
level.
The course aims to:
• Improve delegates’ competence and confidence in using Italian.
• Provide training on methodology for teachers of Italian to improve
current practice.
• Promote Italian language and culture to further develop and
encourage intercultural awareness.
• Provide teachers with suitable resources for teaching Italian to
students.
The course is highly practical and provides a variety of sessions delivered
by experienced and qualified teachers and trainers who will develop
attendees’ language skills by a full immersion approach. Self evaluation
activities will take place which aim to develop attendees’ effective
planning skills. A variety of visits to institutions are also planned for the
observation of lessons and to encourage links between institutions and
future partnership work.
A certificate of attendance will be provided to each delegate on
completion of the course.
