Scampagnata Celebrations

Scampagnata Celebrations This year’s Scampagnata celebrations take place at Kilsyth, Colzium Park on Sunday May 22, and at Alva, Cochrane Park, on Sunday June 26. It is important for anyone interested in registering for the football tournament at Alva to do so now. Forms can be printed off and sent in by clicking here. Once more this year there will be a Car Competition open to anyone bringing along an Italian car on the day. Just get out the polish, shine it up and enter on the day by contacting Sandro Sarti who has kindly put up a trophy for the winner! Archbishop Conti, the Patron of the CoCAIS which organizes both events will be present on June 26 at Alva to celebrate the Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi. The Mass will begin in the Pavilion at 11.30am. Thereafter the running order will be as normal - Football kicks off at 1pm. Bocce Registration at 1pm beside Pavillion Children’s Entertainer Cheeko the Clown will entertain the younger visitors at 1pm in the park or pavilion dependent on weather – balloons, bubbles , magic show , face painting and all the usual favourites! 2pm Bocce tournament 4pm New event - tug of war children Girls v Boys, then adults Girls v Boys! Should be fun and games! 5pm Draw for Raffle and Prize Giving.
